DR MARLOW His practice is noted for its application of the latest developments in medical technology for woman, including microsurgery, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and digital colposcopy, many of which he has played a major role in developing. Early in his career, as a medical officer in the US Air Force, Dr. Marlow served at Andrews Air Force Base as Chief of Gynecologic Oncology for the east coast. He later joined the faculty of the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, where he was program director for medical students and OBGYN residents at Columbia Hospital. He continued in a teaching capacity in an affiliation between Columbia Hospital for Women and Georgetown University School of Medicine. For the past 25 years, Dr. Marlow has been actively involved in continuing medical education for practicing physicians. He has lectured as a visiting professor to physicians throughout the United States and many parts of the world. He was invited by mainland China along with several other professors to train surgeons there in 1980. As a consultant to the Johns Hopkins University Program for International Education in Gynecology and Obstetrics he lectured and trained surgeons in the Philippines, Pakistan, Kenya, Honduras, Panama and Tanzania. His interest in international medicine was reinforced recently when he visited Cuba on a Treasury Department sanctioned humanitarian trip. In 1981 the acclaimed CBS television series, "The Body Human," and TIME Magazine featured dramatic fetal cinematography by Dr. Marlow, for which he was recognized by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for "outstanding individual achievement." He was nominated for an individual Emmy. A native of Idaho, Dr. Marlow received his MD and his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the George Washington University Medical School in Washington DC He spent a brief period at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland in neurologic research.
